Review

The 2nd EP vinyl preview of the highly anticipated Italoboyz full length “Bla Bl Bla” (out in September) on mothership. Not everyone is aware that both Marco and Fede migrated north to London from Italy several years ago. This move has influenced their sound, hence the “Where is London?” track made with Masomenos. This Ep also marks the start of their new live instrumentation work. “Where is London” draws it’s title from a Big Ben sample put in reverse, but it also features experimental live piano work (piano strings struck with paper mallets) re-twisted into their addictive drum patterns. On the other side, “L’Anagramme” features Salvador D’ali’s voice and the interesting dual piano work of their good friend Angelo. Italoboyz are always pushing the boundaries and testing the limits of traditional dance-floor music and this is no exception.
