You’ve heard James Duncan do his thing with his trumpet on Morgan Geist and Metro Area releases. And perhaps you checkedout his dope “Times Like These” EP. Now he’s back with a sick two-tracker on his own Le Systeme label. Two diverse cuts here, one a serious throwback to the chunky, tracky sound ofold-skool KMS, Perscription and Strictly Rhythm records. Theother a loopy, dusty disco number that’s inspired by the Theo Parrish and Moodyman sound.Definitely some hip stuff herefrom the up-and-coming Duncan. |
